The Warrensburg Parks and Recreation Department hosted the Sportsmanship Banquet Jan. 24 at the Warrensburg Community Center in honor of the 2012 volunteer coaches.
WPR utilized 135 volunteer coaches during 2012 for youth sports programs such as volleyball, baseball, softball, basketball and soccer. UCM Mules Assistant Basketball Coach Brad Loos was the featured speaker for the evening.
Dustin McKinley was honored as 2012 Volunteer Coach of the Year. McKinley coached three sports for WPR in 2012 including basketball, softball and soccer. WPR is currently taking applications for volunteer coaches for baseball and softball. If interested contact Matt Clawson at [email protected]
