Animal Shelter dog adoptions-free license

The Warrensburg Animal Shelter recently launched a new dog license program available on all dog adoptions.

This innovative city dog license program offers the first year city dog license to Warrensburg resident adopters free of charge as part of the adoption package, according to a press release.

When a dog adoption is completed for residents within city limits, a copy of the vaccination certificate and adopter information will be forwarded to the City Collector. The first year city dog license and dog tag will then be mailed to the adopter at no charge.

The shelter is located at 37 SW. 101 Rd. Hours of operation are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12 p.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Closed on Sunday and Monday.
