Arthur E. Worsley, 89, died Aug. 25, at John Knox Village, Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Holden VFW 5844 or the American Legion Post 90. Graveside services will be held on Monday August 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Kingsville Cemetery, Kingsville, Missouri, with Military Honors.
Arthur Worsley was born in Massachusetts, on December 19, 1927, to Richard Worsley and Ella Mae Worsley. He joined the Military after school and was a World War II Veteran. He married Rosemary Worsley on Aug. 30, 1952, and they resided in Kansas City, Missouri. He worked at Western Awning Company in Grandview, Missouri, for over 30 years. He enjoyed being outdoors and having barbecues in the summer with family. Arthur was a huge Nascar fan and traveled to many races in different states. He also loved to travel. After retirement, he would spend many hours building chairs and various furniture pieces made of wood. He enjoyed taking them to the local farmers market on Saturdays. In the summer time, he would always plant a garden and always raised large tomatoes. Arthur enjoyed being around friends and family and he will be truly missed.
Surviving his passing are three sons; Bill Worsley, of Holden, Bob Worsley and wife Debbie, of Kingsville, Art Worsley JR and wife Jeanie, of Kingsville; One daughter Sharon Baker, Kingsville; One brother Russell Worsley and wife Sue, of Florida; Twelve Grandchildren and Thirteen Great Grandchildren.
Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary (Harrigan) Worsley, and One son Mark Worsley.
Friends may visit with the family prior to the service at 10:30am at the Kingsville Cemetery.
