Vivian Grace Ensley, 85, of Holden, Mo., has died; funeral is Aug. 16

(HOLDEN, Mo.)—Vivian Grace Ensley, 85, of Holden, Mo.,  died Saturday, Aug. 11, at Lee’s Summit Medical Center in Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Vivian was born January 23, 1927 in Quincy, Calif., the daughter of Ernest Frederick and Grace Frances (Daugherty) Ensley.  Most of her life was lived in Holden. She graduated from Holden High School, attended Graceland College in Lamoni, Iowa, and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from UCM in Warrensburg.
She taught briefly in the Holden public schools, served as a librarian in California, taught fifth grade in Raytown many years, and served as librarian at the Holden Public Library.
She leaves one brother, Kenneth Ensley, Kansas City, Kan.; two nephews, Kenneth William Slayor, Chilhowee, Mo., and Marco Antonio Ponce, Kansas City, Kan.; one grand-nephew; and two grand-nieces.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton, Mo., under the direction of Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home, Holden, Mo. The service will be officiated by Elder Clayton Foss.
