Henry “Allen” Barker, 58, of Kingsville, Missouri, died Thursday, Nov. 12.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at Kingsville Baptist Church with Pastor John McRoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Kingsville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Barker, James Barker, Sam Root, Robert Gaston, Terry Brooks and Ryan Bush.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden.
Allen was born June 26, 1957, in Independence, Missouri, the son of Henry Barker and Bonnie Jean (Trabue) Barker. He grew up in Grain Valley. The family moved to Kingsville in 1971 and he graduated from Kingsville High School in 1975. Allen was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Worsley on June 12, 1982, in Holden. He worked at Western Electric in Lee’s Summit for seven years. Next, he was employed at Stahl Specialty in Kingsville for 18 years. Allen was a truck driver with Rockin R Farms out of Bates City at the time of his passing. He raised cattle and pigs. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and he was a loyal Royals and Chiefs fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son, Brent Barker, of Kingsville; two daughters, Ashley Barker and Crista Barker, both of the home; mother, Bonnie Markham, of Odessa, Missouri; three brothers, James Barker and wife, Stacey; Tom Barker and David Barker, all of Odessa; father-in-law, Arthur Worley, of Kingsville; two grandchildren, Macie Evelyn Barker and Justice Ann Barker, and another grandson on the way; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry, and his sister, Diana McClellan.
