Items belonging to missing Mo. woman found

(WARSAW, Mo., AP) — Volunteers searching for a Missouri woman who hasn’t been seen since July 13 found some items belonging to her.
Nearly 250 volunteers spent Thursday looking for 72-year-old Hellen Cook, who was last seen walking between Walnut Grove and Highway 7 in Warsaw. Cook has Alzheimer’s disease and has not had her medication since she walked away from a vacation home she shares with her husband near Warsaw.
The volunteers found Cook’s shoes and scarf in the woods near the walking path where she was last seen. Boots she may have been carrying also have been found.
Police dogs tracked Cook’s scent until it disappeared along Highway 7, leading investigators to believe she got into a car.
Cook is 5 feet tall, 97 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
