Couple in their 70s jump from fire through window

EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. (AP) — A southeast Missouri couple, both in their 70s, are recovering after jumping through a window of their home to escape a fire.
KFVS-TV (http://bit.ly/Q3Ymss ) reports that Willie-Jo Davidson and his wife, Shirley, were able to escape the fire that started around 3 a.m. Wednesday in East Prairie. He suffered third-degree burns and she had cuts from the window.
Willie-Jo Davidson’s sister, Judy Lewis, says the house was destroyed and the couple lost everything.
East Prairie Fire Chief Kyle Hutcheson says the cause is under investigation, but the fire does not appear to be suspicious.
