(SPANISH LAKE, Mo., AP) — St. Louis County police are searching for the driver of a white sports utility vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a toddler and injured a teenage girl.
Police say the 2-year-old boy and the teenager girl were hit Sunday evening in North St. Louis County. The boy died later at a hospital.
Witnesses told police that the child was trying to cross the street to play with his sister when the speeding SUV hit him. The teenager was hit while trying to pull the child out of the vehicle’s path.
The vehicle is described as a new model, possibly Dodge or Ford, with tinted windows, chrome running boards and damage to the right front bumper.
