Two seriously injured in crash at U.S. 50, Business 50

(WARRENSBURG, Mo., digitalBURG) – Two people suffered serious injuries after an accident Thursday night at the intersection of U.S. 50 and Business 50.
Merindia K. Wilson, 22, of Warrensburg, attempted to turn left onto Business 50 from the right lane of westbound U.S. 50 and was struck on the driver’s side by a vehicle in the left lane, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.
Clifford J. Waterman, 57, of Lone Jack, was the driver of the vehicle that struck Wilson. Both vehicles came to rest in the median.
Wilson was flown to Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Clifford was transported by Johnson County ambulance to Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.
Both were wearing seat belts.
