The Warrensburg Booster Club and the Warrensburg High School athletic department will sponsor Tiger Spirit Night by giving away cardinal-colored, Tiger logoed T-shirts to the first 1,000 fans who attend the home varsity boys and girls basketball games Friday, Feb. 22.
“The T-shirt giveaway is the booster club’s way of saying thank you to all of the parents, students and fans who come out to support all of our Tiger athletic programs,” WBC president Adam Horn said. “We could not think of a better night to sponsor Tiger Spirit Night. The games are against one of our biggest rivals in Smith-Cotton, it is senior night, and it is the Court-Mat dance night. What a great night to show our school spirit.”
Fans must attend the game to receive a free T-shirt. The giveaway will begin when the doors open at 4:45 p.m. If fans want a shirt, they should plan to get to the gym early. The girls game is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., with the boys game set to tip-off at 7 p.m.
“Given the amount of shirts we will give away, we plan to set up multiple tables to accommodate each shirt size,” Horn said. “We will have tables for small, medium, large, and extra large shirt sizes. When fans arrive, they should find the table with their shirt size. This will allow us to give out the shirts more efficiently. We hope to see 1,000 cardinal-clad fans fill the gym and cheer on our Warrensburg Tigers.”
