Tigers out-dual Grandview, Lee's Summit North

(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – The Warrensburg wrestling Tigers wrestled Grandview and Lee’s Summit North Monday and walked away with two victories.
The night started with Warrensburg taking on an athletic team from Grandview and winning 13 of the 14 matches, scoring 76 team points to Grandview’s 6.
Winning by fall for Warrensburg was Sean Parr at 106, J.D. Pederson at 113, Sheldon Blose at 120, Malacai Collins at 126, Jake Sproat at 132, J.D. Culp at 145, Zadac Lankford at 152, Jared Allnut at 160, Brett Marr at 170, Willis Grant at 182, Zeelan Lankford at 220, and Caleb Braun at 285.
Lee’s Summit North put up a bigger fight. The three key matchups were Sheldon Blose at 120, Jared Allnut at 160 and Caleb Braun at 285. Warrensburg won all three, giving Warrensburg a sizable advantage. Winning for Warrensburg as well were Collins, Culp, Zadac Lankford, Marr, Grant, and Zeelan Lankford.
“We wrestled well, especially coming off of a big weekend of wrestling,” said coach Brown. “Tonight, I was extremely happy with the way Jared, Caleb and Sheldon wrestled. All three out-techniqued, and out-worked their opponent. Everyone wrestled well against good teams. Lee’s Summit North is a tough 4A team that looked to come in here and dual us for the first time and they thought they would win, but the score went to Warrensburg. We are a little beat up right now and this break will help us get back to full strength.”
Warrensburg will not wrestle again until after the Christmas break.
