U.S. Army veteran Jeremy Miller is on a Walk Across America to raise awareness about veteran suicide and will be stopping at UCM at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Military and Veterans Success Center in the lower level of the Elliott Student Union.
Miller’s eight years of military service included service in Iraq. He began his approximately 3,200-mile walk May 21 in Crescent City, California to help bring attention to mental health issues and how they have contributed to suicide among service members. He plans to finish his walk at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Miller will meet with military veterans and other interested community members. For more information, go to the Walk Across America Facebook page or look up @exporingislife22 on Instagram.
