Six Jennies earn All-MIAA

The MIAA released its regular season awards Thursday and six Jennies were recognized, including two first-team mentions and the Freshman of the Year award.
Senior Kylie Hohlen makes her second consecutive appearance on the first team and has earned the honor as both a libero in 2017 and outside hitter this season. Hohlen is second on the Jennies in both kills (378) and digs (442). Her 3.32 kills per set is good for fifth in the MIAA.
Sophomore Audrey Fisher is the Jennies’ other first-team selection following her second-team selection in 2017.  Fisher leads the Jennies in kills with 381 kills and a .345 attack percentage. She has been named MIAA Hitter of the Week twice this season.
Sophomore Ally Offerdahl made the second-team for the second consecutive season. Offerdahl has filled up the stat sheet this season with 105 kills, 362 digs, 45 blocks and 30 service aces. Her 10.99 assists per set leads the Jennies and is good for second in the MIAA.
Freshman Hannah Engelken became the fifth Jennie in team history to win the Freshman of the Year award. She was also an All-MIAA honorable mention. Engelken is second in the MIAA in blocks with 122 and has tallied 232 kills in her first season with the Jennies.
Senior Carly Offerdahl earned her second All-MIAA honorable mention in her career as a libero. She averages 3.79 digs per set and is second on the team in service aces with 16.
Junior Rylee Neigenfind earned her first career All-MIAA award this season receiving an honorable mention. Neigenfind has put up season-highs across the board with 260 kills, 181 digs, 74 blocks and 16 service aces.
The Jennies continue their push for the MIAA Championship in the semifinal round against top-seeded Nebraska-Kearney. First serve is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at the Health & Sports Center in Kearney, Nebraska,
