Lady Tigers win home opener against Excelsior Springs

The Warrensburg Lady Tigers won their home opener Tuesday night 54-37 over Excelsior Springs.
Five players scored seven or more points as the Lady Tigers improved to 1-3 after dropping their first three games in the Marshall Shootout.
Jessica Tiller paced Warrensburg with 13 points and Taylor Geis added 12. The Lady Tigers went on a 10-0 run the last 3:55 of the second quarter to take a 28-19 lead and maintained the advantage from that point forward.
The Lady Tigers go on the road Friday to play at Nevada.
“The difference tonight over the first three games that we played was our intensity and energy we played with,” said coach Bob Rickman said. “I have told the girls since last week our effort is going to allow good things to happen and tonight showed that.”
