Stairs at the Union being redone

The stairs are closed off in the lower level of the Elliot Student Union being rebuilt. The cost for this project is $5,400.

“These stairs failed and just disintegrated so we had to break them up and we’re putting new stairs back,” he said. He said the stairs were probably about 30 or 40 years old.

Richter Excavating company employees putting concrete on the stairs. “The custodians that were doing the snow removal noticed the stairs had chips in them,” Richtor said. “Then it leads getting us to come look at it or somebody else.”
