Thank a Mentor Day inspires students

Tyson Foster, a sophomore sports management major, wrote to a friend that he considers a mentor at the Thank a Mentor Day event in the Union.

Ja’Shonae Cooks, a graduate student in personnel administration, gets ready to write to her mentor as she looks back on fond memories of them.

Christian Hackworth, a sophomore finance major, writes to his mentor at the event, which had a turnout of approximately 30 students.

Hayley Counts, a sophomore nursing major makes a card for her mentor during the Leadership, Education, Advocacy Development series, which is a seminar designed to inspire students to reach their full leadership potential.

As part of the series, Adam Schonhoff, a freshman accounting major, answers what a mentor is to him. The next LEAD series event is scheduled Monday, Feb. 12.
