A planned power outage is scheduled to begin at 11:59 p.m. and last until approximately 4 a.m., according to an alert from Mark Dawson, the district community affairs manager for the southeast and east districts for KCP&L.
The outage will take place in the area of Warrensburg’s eastern substation.
Approximately 2,665 KCP&L customers will be affected, said KCP&L spokesman Jeremy McNeive. However, he said he is uncertain about the boundaries of the affected area.
McNeive said the outage is scheduled so the company can work on de-energized lines to ensure workers can safely make improvements.
