Crews search for missing Arkansas woman in flooded Missouri

(POPLAR BLUFF, Mo., AP) — Authorities are searching in southeast Missouri for an Arkansas woman after she called 911 to report that she was trapped in a flooding car.
KFVS-TV (http://bit.ly/2b3gTH0 ) reports that the call cut out Tuesday, soon after the 44-year-old woman said her vehicle was filling with water.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Clark Parrott says the woman’s family has not heard from her. Officials are using boats as they search an area that has experienced significant flooding to farmland after torrential rains.
One levee breached Tuesday in a rural area near Poplar Bluff, swamping hundreds of acres of farmland but causing only limited damage to structures. Three people were rescued from their homes.
Water was also spilling over another levee in the area.
