Mammoth plant in Springfield closing, 200 jobs lost
May 7, 2015
(SPRINGFIELD, Mo., AP) โ A manufacturing plant in Springfield will close by the end of the year, costing about 200 employees their jobs.
A company vice president, Erin Riebe, said the layoffs will begin in July and conclude by the end of December.
Riebe says the decision to close was driven by market factors and a desire to move operations to more efficient plants.
