Man planned gun sales to Ferguson protesters

(EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill., AP) — A 19-year-old Illinois parolee is facing federal charges that allege he stole dozens of guns and planned to sell them to protesters in Ferguson, Missouri.
Dakota Moss of Centralia, which is about 60 miles east of St. Louis, was charged Wednesday with four gun-related felonies.
A federal investigator’s affidavit alleges that Moss and a 17-year-old male raided a Centralia farm-and-home store last month of 29 pistols, nine rifles and a shotgun.
The affidavit says Moss later admitted he and the teen discussed taking the guns to the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson to sell to people protesting a grand jury’s decision not to indict a white police officer in the August shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was black.
Online court records don’t show whether Moss has an attorney.
