(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Young Street will be closed east of the North Park Shopping Center entrance beginning July 14 so workers can install a new storm drainage pipe.
Vehicles may access businesses west of the shopping center and from the east on Young Street up to the Aldi’s and Bi-Lo Country Mart during the road closure, according to a news release.
The contractor, KAT Excavation, has developed detour route outside the work zone by way of Russell Avenue. Eastbound Young Street will be limited access from Maguire to the North Park Shopping Center. Westbound Young Street will be limited access to Aldi’s and Bi-Lo Country Mart. All businesses will remain fully accessible.
The construction project replaces a collapsed storm drainage pipe. The project is being performed cooperatively between the city and the affected property owners.
The contractor is scheduled to have Young Street back open to normal traffic within two working days, weather permitting. Some additional work will be required afterward along the shoulders of the street to complete the project.
