Crestridge volleyball beats Archie

Crest Ridge defeated Archie Thursday in three games, dropping the first game 25-16 and winning the next two 25-14, 25-23.
“After coming off a huge win Tuesday, we were having some trouble with serve receive in the first game,” said coach Angie Flick. “We fixed it during the second half of the first game and came back to win the second game, tying the match. The third game was tough. I called a timeout when we were down 11-18 and told the girls we needed one good pass, and to put the ball down because we had Lily, Destanie and then Kaitlyn coming up next to serve. Lily and Destanie did their jobs and got us back in the game 23-19, the rest was up to Kaitlyn and she didn’t disappoint. She served six tough serves, placed them exactly where I wanted her to and brought the game home for us. The other girls worked hard to keep Kaitlyn back there. What a great win.”
Bre Wonderly had 11 kills, four aces, seven digs and four blocks. Lily Hunter had four kills, four aces and seven digs. Kaitlyn Francy had four kills, three aces and two digs. Destanie Garza had 11 assists and one kill. Cyndi Shackelford had five digs, one ace and one kill.
