(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – Warrensburg High School teacher Steve Marr was recently awarded a $500 grant from the Missouri State Retired Teachers Association that will benefit his independent study students, according to a news release.
The grant funding will be used to help students develop an all terrain vehicle from scratch. They will design, develop, raise funds, build and problem solve the vehicle. The goal of the team is to enter their vehicle in the spring TEAM district contest at the University of Central Missouri.
Out of 172 grants submitted, only 43 were awarded throughout the state.
