(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – A mother and her 7-year-old son were kidnapped and threatened in the Wal-Mart parking lot Thursday evening, according to a press release from the Warrensburg Police Department.
Alan E. Briscoe, 23, of Knob Noster, Mo., and Kevin A. Ratte, 21, of Warrensburg, were charged Friday with kidnapping, child kidnapping, first-degree robbery, two counts of armed criminal action, endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with a motor vehicle.
The woman and her son were leaving the store when the two suspects threaten them in the parking lot with a hand-gun and knife, according to the news release.
The suspects forced the woman to give them the money she had, and then forced her to drive to an ATM at U.S. Bank on North Maguire Street and withdraw money. The suspects then forced her to drive north of Warrensburg where they threatened to rape her and kill her and her son. The suspects then stole the car and left, according to the press release.
