2 killed in collision with school bus near Warrensburg

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Two people have died after their SUV collided with a school bus near Skyhaven Airport west of Warrensburg on Tuesday afternoon, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
State troopers reported that no students were injured inside the bus on eastbound U.S. 50.
An Associated Press report said aerial footage showed the bus was off the highway but upright and the wreckage of the SUV was located behind it. The bus was reportedly carrying elementary and secondary school students from the Crest Ridge R-7 School District in Centerview.
The patrol is still investigating what caused the crash. The names of the two people killed have not yet been released.
