Crest Ridge volleyball handles Kingsville

Crest Ridge varsity volleyball dropped the first set in a hard fought battle with Kingsville, but rallied to dominated the last two for the win, 25-23, 25-6, 25-11.

Crest Ridge’s Lily Hunter put up 5 kills and 5 stuff blocks. Heather Delana came away with 10 assists and Leah Kemple contributed 4 digs.
“We lacked intensity during the first set.  The girls pulled it together during the second,” head coach Jennifer English said. “Kaylee Schmidli served 17 in a row, including 3 aces, to put us up 18-1. We played with more energy during the third set, and hope to take some momentum into our game on Thursday.”
The win improves the Cougars’ record to 3-9 (0-3, conference).
Next up for the Cougars will be KC Lutheran tomorrow at 5:30 p.m.
