Crest View volleyball outmatched by Sacred Heart

Crest Ridge varsity girls volleyball fell to Sacred Heart (Sedalia) on Thursday. The Cougars dropped a hard-fought first game, 25-20, before battling back to take the second, 25-16, but were outdone in the third, 25-10.
Crest Ridge’s Lily Hunter led the Cougars in kills with six, while Heather Delana contributed nine assists. Kaylee Schmidli came away with six digs.
“We got off to a slow start in the first game, but they came together and fought their way back, taking some momentum into the second game,” Head coach Jennifer English said. “At that point they picked up the intensity and played all out, winning by nine.  We just didn’t have enough to make it through the third game, but we are pleased with their teamwork this early in the season.”
Crest View’s junior varsity lost to Sacred Heart in straight games, 25-23, 25-20.
Kelsie Seaman led the team with four kills from the back row and Timber Erisman had nine assists and four aces.
