(WARRENSBURG, Mo., digitalBURG) — The Warrensburg Police Department is investigating numerous reports of property damage that took place late Saturday night or possibly early Sunday morning.
Dozens of car windows were broken at various locations throughout Warrensburg. Reports have stated that the windows appeared to have been shot out with a pellet gun.
At the time of this report, Detective Lt. Randy Eich said he had received more than 30 reports, and expected more to come. In his 35 years with the department, Eich said he has seen plenty of cases of vandalism, but never anything of this magnitude.
“We get various kinds of vandalism, but not this scale,” Eich told digitalBURG. “With the amount of damage, this would be a felony case.”
The case is still under investigation. If you have any information, you can call 660-747-TIPS, or the Warrensburg Police Department at 660-747-9133.
