(ST. LOUIS, AP) — The search continues for the victim of an early-morning boat crash in the Mississippi River.
KMOV-TV (bit.ly/16zCUln) reports that the U.S. Coast Guard and local fire and police crews are looking for a fisherman who may have fallen into the river after a tow boat and a fishing boat collided about 3 a.m. Friday just south of the Chain of Rocks bridge.
The tow boat’s crew found a cellphone, wallet, fishing poles, a cooler and other personal items on the unoccupied 18-foot fishing boat. Authorities did not identify the missing fisherman but say they found one life jacket on board. The man’s family says he always carries two life jackets on his boat.
