UCM golfer named to All-American team

(NORMAN, Okla.) – Central Missouri freshman golfer Robby Hughey was named to the Division II PING Honorable Mention All-America Team, according to the Golf Coaches Association of America.
Hughey was the only player from the MIAA and just one of two from the Central Region to earn All-America honors.
An Overland Park, Kan., native, Hughey had three top-five finishes and one victory during his freshman campaign. He captured the NCAA Division II Central/Midwest Super Regional title with a 13-under par, 203. In 31 rounds played, he finished with a 74.97 stroke average. This is the first All-America honor for Hughey.
The Mules were runners-up in the MIAA this year before capturing the NCAA-II Super Regional championship for the second straight season. UCM went on to finish in 15th place at the NCAA Division II Championships in Hershey, Pa.
