The Mules beat the Griffons 70-64. The match started with the Mules ahead by halftime and at the end of the game, it was close. The Mules did not give up as the Griffons tried pressuring them. The Mules had an 18-2 run against the Griffons toward the end of the first half. The Mules improve their record to 6-8, and the Griffons are 8-3. The Griffons scored more points in the second half to tie the game at the one minute mark. The Mules defeated the Number 23 ranked team on the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball. The Mules had some strategies as they fought throughout the game. 

  Senior guard Cameron Hunter had 16 points, four assists and three steals. Junior forward Gavin Pinkley had nine rebounds and junior forward Mohammed Abubakar had three blocks. The Mules finished the game with 25/55 baskets made, 2/16 three-pointers and 18-25  free throws. Toward the end of the game, senior Ja’Cor Nelson had a slam dunk, which secured the Mules’ win. The Mules recorded a season-high of six blocks in a game. 

  The Griffons freshman forward Caleb Bennett had 19 points and six rebounds. Junior guard Tyrell Carroll had five assists and sophomore forward Will Eames had two blocks. The team made 22/63 shots, 5/21 three-pointers and 15/24 free throws.
