(RICHMOND, Va.) — The sixth-ranked Jennies Bowling team went 3-0 on Sunday to complete a perfect 12-0 weekend and captured the team title at the Virginia Union Jeannette Lee Invitational.
The Jennies beat seventh-ranked Sacred Heart 4-2 in the championship match.
Sophomore Gabriella Mayfield was named Tournament MVP after averaging 213.2 over the three days. Other UCM players earning All-Tournament Team honors are Kara Richard with a 210.8 average, Mary Wells (206.6) and Natalie Jimenez (205.0).
The Jennies are off until after the first of the year, returning to action Jan. 11-13, 2013 at the Arkansas State Mid-Winter Classic in Cabot, Ark.
