Five members of Jennies basketball will play for team USA from July 30 to Aug. 8 in Brazil with USA Sports Tours and Events, according to a news release.
Senior Sydney Crockett and juniors Morgan Fleming and Megan Skaggs will be joining the team coached by Dave Slifer and Tammy Slifer.
The tour features four games against Brazilian club teams. The team will visit local schools and sports clubs, according to the release.
Cities on the tour include Sao Paulo, Jundiai, Osasco and Rio de Janeiro. While in Rio, the team will be staying on Copacabana Beach and will tour the Christ the Redeemer Statue and Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Team USA Division II has nine players from schools around the country, including the men’s team, which will also be on the tour. The players are from nine states and 14 different schools.
