Mules Golf falls to Nova Southeastern in match play, finishes tied for third

(CONOVER, N.C.) — The Mules golf team’s run in the match play portion of the NCAA Championships ended in the semifinals with a 5-0 loss to Nova Southeastern on Thursday afternoon. The Mules finish the season tied for third at the NCAA Championships.
The Mules fell behind early in the round and could not recover as they fell to the top-ranked Sharks. Teddy Jones was eight-over par in his round and fell by five shots to Ethan Marcus of NSU.
Sam Migdal carded the same score as Jones and fell by six shots to Priyanshu Singh. Travis Mays was three-over par in his round, but fell to Oscar Lengden who was even on the day.
Cy Moritz dropped his match by four shots to Richard Mansell after a six-over par 77 and Alex Springer was five-over par and fell by eight shots to Santiago Gomez.
The Mules finished match play just as they did in stroke play, tied for third. They will also return home with the first individual national champion in program history in Migdal.
