Mules Golf finishes as runner-up at UCO Broncho Invite

(OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.) — The Central Missouri Mules golf team shot a final round 310 in windy conditions to finish as runner-up at the UCO Broncho Invite at Gaillardia Country Club. Every team shot over 300 on the final day of competition due to the windy conditions.
The Mules finished at 25-over par, 601.
The Mules were led by Cy Moritz, who finished in a tied for fourth at three-over par 147 after a final round 75. Travis Maysand Teddy Jones finished tied for 15th place with six-over par 150.
Alex Springer and Sam Midgal finished in ties for 34th and 40th, respectively, with scores of 154 and 155. Playing as an individual, Travis Simmons tied with Migdal in 40th.
Central Oklahoma brought home the team title with a score of 596, 20-over par. Stefan Idstam of SW Oklahoma State was the individual medalist with a one-under par 143. He was the only player to finish under par.
The Mules are back in action next Monday and Tuesday at the Barry Invitational at the Normandy Shores Golf Club in Miami Shores, Florida.
