UCM golfers named Division II PING All-Americans

(NORMAN, Okla.) — Central Missouri golfers Travis Mays and Cy Moritz were named to the Division II PING Honorable Mention All-America Team, according to the Golf Coaches Association of America.
This is the second All-America honor for Moritz and the first for Mays.

Mays was the MIAA Golfer of the Year after finishing first in season points standings. He had a 73.8 stroke average and had 10 top-10 finishes this season, including three top-five finishes. His best finish of the season was a runner-up finish at the MIAA Championships.
Moritz won the MIAA Tournament Individual Championship and earned All-MIAA honors as well after finishing fourth in the points standings. He led the team with a 73.69 stroke average and had six top-10s, five top-fives and an individual title. Moritz was an honorable mention PING All-American as a freshman two years ago.
The Mules won the MIAA regular season and tournament championships this year. They were second at the NCAA Super Regional and went on to finish fourth at the NCAA Championship Tournament and fifth in the match play portion of the finals.
