WHS officials respond to email threat

By ALYSSA CLIFTON
(digitalBURG) — Warrensburg High School administrators increased security Monday after receiving a threatening email.
Superintendent Scott Patrick said the threat prompted administrators to ask for additional police at the building for the safety of their students.
The Warrensburg Police Department investigated the threat, but investigators determined it was not a credible threat, Patrick said.
“Anytime our school receives suspicious information, we react as if it were factual,” according to a WHS email to parents. “Our first priority will always be the safety and security of our students.”
The number of police who responded and the nature of the threat were not disclosed.
