(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — The Warrensburg Tiger Swim Team celebrated Senior Night Tuesday with wins over Center, Smith-Cotton, and Grandview in a Quad-Duel.
“It was a bittersweet moment to see the Seniors being recognized on the blocks,” Head Coach Jane Zembraski said. “Four of the seven I have been with since my first year here and it is amazing to see how far the other three have come since the first practice. They are amazing girls.”
Senior Night aside, the team’s performance alone was a reason to celebrate.
“The team worked well together and many personal records were broken” Rachel Boone said.
Among the standout acheivements was the all-Senior 200 Free relay team, which took first in their event.
“It is nice to know that even during my last swimming meet at home,” Lauren Landwehr said. “I was able to drop 3 seconds off my previous time.”
The Lady Tigers Swim Team is now preparing in hopes to bring home the conference championship title for the second year in row.
