Three Jennies soccer players named Daktronics All-America

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Jennies soccer senior midfielders Carly Stanley and Becky Lackey and senior defender Cindy Lackey were named Daktronics All-Americans as announced on Wednesday morning. Stanley was named to the third team while the Lackeys both earned honorable mention honors.
Stanley, the 2013 MIAA Offensive Player of the Year, led one of the nation’s most potent offenses in assists with 10, tying the UCM single-season record. She finished her career as the program’s all-time leader in assists with 27, good for third in MIAA history. The Jennies’ 3.05 goals per game were fifth-most in NCAA Division-II this season. Stanley was also named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region First Team on Wednesday
Becky Lackey led the Jennies with 24 points this season, nine goals, six assists, with two of her goals being game-winners. Lackey earned All-MIAA First-Team accolades for the third time in her career and is fifth all-time in Jennies history with 71 career points and fourth in goals with 33. Lackey was also named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region First Team on Wednesday.
Cindy Lackey, the 2013 MIAA Defensive Player of the Year, started all 20 games on one of the best defensive units in NCAA-Division II. Central Missouri’s defense allowed just 18 goals, 0.9 per game, and shutout opposing offenses 10 times. Lackey added one game-winning goal and an assist for three points this season. Lackey was also named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region First Team on Wednesday.
Also earning NSCAA/Continental Tire All-Region honors was senior defender Kristin Bright, as she was named to the third-team on Wednesday. She started all 20 games for the Jennies defense. The Fenton, Mo. native, was named first-team All-MIAA this season, the third all-conference honor of her career.
The Jennies went 14-4-2, claiming a sixth MIAA regular season title in seven years and making a fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
