Branson Veterans Museum items up for auction

(BRANSON, Mo., AP) — The collection at the Veterans Museum in Branson will go up for auction on Wednesday.
The museum will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday for those who want to see the items before the auction.
KYTV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/12lm3mS) the collection includes prints, medals, weapons, vehicles, uniforms and three bronze statues. One of the statues, called “Storming the Beach,” is a bronze sculpture that includes soldiers representing every state in the union.
Museum supporters would like to see someone buy the entire exhibit and restart the museum. But they say if that doesn’t happen, the pieces will be sold individually.
The auction starts at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Hilton Convention Center in Branson. It will also be a live webcast auction.
