The University of Central Missouri Student Activities Office crowned junior Hannah Stevens, junior Emily Keck and senior Danniel Casey as 2025 UCM Royalty. The three winners were crowned during halftime of the homecoming football game on Oct. 25 at Audrey J. Walton Stadium.
Junior Hannah Stevens represents the Sigma Kappa sorority. She credits her friends and sorority for her success and enjoyed the process of running for homecoming royalty, which included creating a video that was judged by a panel.
“The video was really cool. I got to really talk about UCM values and what it means to be a UCM student here, and that put things into perspective for me. And then the campaigning was my favorite part. I loved having six hours of dedicated time to go outside and just talk to anybody on campus,” Stevens said.
Junior Emily Keck ran for homecoming royalty on behalf of the Central Missouri chapter of the Alpha Sigma Alpha sorority. According to Keck, participating in the many homecoming activities on campus and campaigning was a fun experience and group effort.
“It’s kind of surreal. I did not think I would win and I’m just really happy to represent my people who I love… It’s an honor to represent my chapter and also represent Greek life and homecoming and UCM,” Keck said.
Senior Danniel Casey, nicknamed “Big Red,” ran for homecoming royalty as a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. He describes the hard work he put into his campaign and his feelings after being selected as UCM Royalty.
“I really just grinded on my video and interview and I did my best to get out and talk to people and get them to vote for me, and get them to know who I am and what I stand for… UCM means a lot to me. I don’t even have any words to describe it right now. I’m so excited. It’s just awesome,” Casey said.
