Student Charged with Possession of Child Pornography
A 20-year-old man was charged with three counts of child pornography possession on Sept. 8 in Warrensburg.
Caedon Bergman was arrested on Sept. 8 and held at the Johnson County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond in cash. On Sept. 9, Bergman appeared in court and entered a not-guilty plea. According to officials, the Bergman’s case is under investigation with another arraignment scheduled for October 3.
Initially, Bergman was charged under Felony B Statute 537.037 on June 22. According to officials, to be charged under the statute, a person must possess either more than 20 still images of child pornography or one video, or they must have been found previously guilty of possessing child pornography.
Bergman is being represented by Jeffrey Raymond Nilson, who at the time of publication had no information or statement to release at the time of publication.
