Spring Plans for Volleyball and Soccer
The MIAA finalized plans for the women’s soccer and volleyball season. The plan was approved by the MIAA Athletic Administrators Council on November 24.
Volleyball will be able to play eight matches against the teams in their division, which will be based on the geographic location. The schedule will begin on February 24 and end the week of April 11. Along with the eight matches scheduled by the MIAA, the volleyball institution will be able to schedule 20 matches with outside competition. They will decide when those competitions will occur during the school’s championship segment. The postseason tournament will be held on April 16-17.
Women’s soccer will play six matches with two postseason matches. Those will begin the week of March 29, 2021 and end the week of April 26. Along with the eight matches the MIAA schedules, the schools will be able to schedule up to 14 contests with outside competition for the spring.
The complete schedule for both sports will be announced closer to the season. There will be no formal MIAA Champion recognized for the 2020-2021 academic year in either sport.
