The MIAA released its indoor track and field preseason poll and both the Mules and Jennies were picked to finish second in their respective polls.
Central Missouri received 123 points in the women’s poll and 106 in the men’s. Each team received one first-place vote. Pittsburg State got all but one first-place vote in both polls after winning the MIAA Championship last season.
Central Missouri opened the indoor season at the Crimson and Gold Invitational in December and earned six NCAA provisional qualifying marks.
The Mules and Jennies first meet of 2019 will be at home as they host the UCM Invitational. Events are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. Friday in the Multipurpose Building.
