Western Missouri Medical Center Foundation is the recipient of a donation from the estate of Kenneth and Marian Glazebrook, making it the first Legacy Circle gift, according to a press release.
“The WMMC Foundation gratefully acknowledges the generosity of Kenneth and Marian Glazebrook. Legacy gifts, such as the Glazebrook’s, enable the Foundation to purchase equipment and support special programs to address the healthcare needs of citizens in western Missouri,” said Dee Hudson, WMMC foundation board president.
The Legacy Circle is the planned giving branch of the WMMC Foundation and the gifts made through a bequest, such as a will or trust, to invest in the future of our regional healthcare. Funds raised through the Legacy Circle help support WMMC and its mission to improve the health of our greater community, according to the release.
“We will honor the Glazebrook’s memory by investing their gift in new technology and medical equipment that will serve our friends and neighbors for years to come,” said Tara Carlyle, WMMC system director of communications and development.
Recent WMMC Foundation contributions have funded a telemedicine robot to connect patients with specialists and a radio frequency ablation machine to treat chronic pain.
