(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – UCM student Robin Grillo, who was a senior social work major, died Monday, Jan. 1. A memorial service and visitation was held Wednesday evening at Williams Funeral Home, followed by a reception at Old Barney’s Bar & Grill – where Grillo had worked for a few years.
Grillo was a member of the Social Work Club and Pre-Marriage/Family Therapy Club at UCM.
“Robin was just a beautiful person,” Dave Manley, an Old Barney’s regular, said at the reception with an attendance of around 50. “Old Barney’s always feels like family, so it’s just like losing a family member. She was willing to snap back… I enjoyed messing with Robin because of her personality.”
In a Facebook post, Old Barney’s stated Robin’s “sassy charm and bright smile will be dearly missed. Old Barney’s won’t be the same without you.”
