Effective immediately, the Office of University Relations will no longer provide photography services for the campus. As the result of department reorganization and future alignment of targeted marketing priorities, University Relations will generally limit photography services to presidential events, according to a news release by University Relations.
Recently, seven other staff jobs have also been cut due to the budget cuts.
Should anyone have a future event that may be considered as high-impact student recruitment and tells the Learning to a Greater Degree story, they are encouraged to notify University Relations in advance about the event, as they may take a few pictures if they determine they would be helpful to strategic University advertising, marketing, or promotion initiatives.
In such cases, University Relations will share images with the campus, but cannot guarantee particular coverage, for example, end-to-end presentation documenting, images of specific students, staff or guests. University Relations no longer has dedicated photographic services staff to cover events, for example, retirement receptions, department staff events, award ceremonies, ect.
University Relations will continue to provide faculty and staff head shots on a limited number of designated days each semester. The next faculty/staff photo day is scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in Elliott Student Union 233. Future faculty/staff photo days will be routinely communicated via UCM Daily.
Please contact Kelly Waldram Cramer at [email protected] with any questions about these changes in campus photography services offered by University Relations.
