(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) — The 2016 Sounds of Summer Concert Series, hosted by Warrensburg Main Street, is scheduled to begin Friday, May 20, in downtown Warrensburg.
This is the fourth year for the free Warrensburg Main Street Sounds of Summer Concert Series, according to a news release. There will be a total of four concert dates in the series this summer with performances by a variety of artists.
The first concert on May 20 will take place at the city complex from 7-9 p.m. with performances by Luehrman, Shaffer and Check. This concert is sponsored by the city of Warrensburg. The remaining concerts will be held on Pine Street or around the Johnson County Courthouse. The concerts at the Courthouse on July 15 and Aug. 19 will be from 7-9 p.m. with Ryan Shippy, and Manda Shea & The Sumpthin Bros. performing.
The concerts on Pine Street are set for June 17 and July 15. The Pine Street concert on June 17 will be from 7-11 p.m. and will feature Mudflap Mafia opening for Chance the Arm. The Pine Street concert on July 15 will be from 9-11 p.m. featuring The Lucky Dogs.
All of the summer concerts are free and open to the public.
