Unisex clothing is nothing new, but it is something college students often overlook when shopping.
This type of clothing is designed to look good on men and women, even when styled in similar ways. The concept may sound weird at first, but unisex fashion is one trend you’re going to want to jump on board
When wearing this gender-neutral clothing, men don’t have to worry about looking girly, and women don’t have to worry about looking masculine. A unisex sweater will look like a men’s sweater on a man and a women’s sweater on a girl.
You can also count on almost every unisex piece to be comfortable. Nothing is going to be too tight or too loose because it’s made to fit on the bodies of both sexes.
Since it’s comfy and stylish, it’s going to be easier to feel confident in what you’re wearing, too. Unisex fashion makes it simple to look effortlessly trendy, which will make you want to strut your stuff every day you wear it.
One of the biggest benefits to buying unisex clothing is that now you don’t only have to borrow clothes from people of the same gender. You can borrow your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s shirt, and they can borrow one back.
One leader in unisex clothing is VEEA, an androgynous fashion company that specializes in creating garments that will look good on both sexes.
On their website, you won’t find a men’s and women’s tab, just tabs for shirts, sweaters and jackets. They sell quality apparel that will look good on anyone, no matter their gender.
Selfridges, a London designer, blew up the runway last year with his men’s gender-neutral garments and decided to bring the concept to their stores as well for a limited time.
The store added a floor completely dedicated to genderless fashion. It got rid of all the male and female mannequins and dressed the windows in a non-gender-specific way.
Although there may not be many unisex clothing stores on the market right now, keep your eyes peeled because more genderless fashion is definitely in the future.
