(KANSAS CITY, Mo.) — Jennies soccer defender Kristin Bright and goalkeeper Jessica Grindstaff were named MIAA Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, the MIAA office announced on Tuesday.
Bright, a Fenton, Mo. native and a graduate of Rockwood Summitt High School started in all three of Central Missouri’s wins last week, helping the defense record its sixth shutout this season and limiting the opposition to two goals.
Grindstaff, a Lee’s Summit, Mo. native and a Notre Dame High School product started all three games and recorded a 3-0-0 record while recording 10 saves and allowing just two goals (0.65 GAA) in 275:13 minutes of action.
The weekly accolades are the first for both players this season, joining teammates Hannah Moran, Emily Eldridge and Hannah Pyle.
